Gilbert and the Gazelle Foundation host the annual charity race on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, in beautiful downtown Austin. The Gazelle Foundation’s mission to provide clean water to the people of Burundi provides a path out of poverty, bringing access to better health, stronger communities, jobs, education, and most of all: hope. The Run For The Water race offers options to participate in a 10 Miler, 5K, and Kids K.

The Gazelle Foundation hosts the 17th Annual Run for the Water, the second largest fully charity-produced road race in Austin, Texas. The event is solely produced by and benefits the Gazelle Foundation, an Austin-based non-profit co-founded by Gilbert, which is dedicated to improving the lives of citizens of Burundi, Africa, through the building of water systems. Gilbert shares his story with over 100 staff members of Dover Fueling Solutions, an industry leading manufacturer of advanced energy dispensing equipment based in Round Rock, Texas.

4ATX Foundation, Austin FC’s nonprofit arm, announced Gilbert Tuhabonye as one of the Foundation’s 2023 Legends of the Year. The annual awards recognize contributions to building physically, socially and emotionally healthier communities in Central Texas. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, October 11 at 4ATX Foundation’s “A Night in Verde” Gala.
