Gilbert speaks at the Wellness Fair for employees of the Texas Comptrollers of Public Accounts. The Comptroller is the chief steward of the state's finances, acting as tax collector, chief accountant, chief revenue estimator and chief treasurer for all of state government, in addition to administering a number of other programs.

Gilbert participates in the Trailblazer Speaker Series at the International School of Texas in Austin, Texas on April 26, 2019. The International School of Texas is a non-profit, independent private school serving the areas of Bee Cave, Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, Four Points, River Place, Westlake and the surrounding communities. The school’s mission is to provide students with rigorous academics while growing global citizens and global leaders.

Gilbert participates in a 5th Grade Leadership event at Casis Elementary in Austin, Texas, where he will speak to inspire kids to find their passion and make a career out of it. Gilbert will also speak about the importance of philanthropy. Casis is a synergistic educational environment that combines the efforts of a dedicated and talented faculty, children eager to learn, and very active parents.

Gilbert speaks about perseverance to a conference of children’s advocacy center executives who work to help restore the lives of abused children. The Children’s Advocacy Centers™ of Texas is the statewide membership association representing all local children’s advocacy centers in the Lone Star state. The membership reflects the vast diversity of Texas, all with their own unique approaches to fulfilling our shared mission of protecting and providing for children. This year, 58,432 children received services from one of the 71 children's advocacy centers across the state of Texas.

Gilbert gives a motivational speech to members of the Texas Association of School Administrators at their statewide conference dedicated to providing the latest information on assessment, testing, and accountability in education-elementary, secondary, and post-secondary. Founded in 1925, the Texas Association of School Administrators is the professional association for Texas school administrators, providing networking and professional learning opportunities, legislative advocacy, and targeted communications to support the work of superintendents and other school leaders.

Run for the Water presented by Keller Williams Realty is the second largest fully charity-produced road race in Austin, Texas. Gilbert participates in the Texas Center for the Judiciary’s Inspirational Luncheon in Houston, Texas on September 6th, 2018. Gilbert will be the guest speaker to the roughly 100 State Trial and Appellate Judges and their spouses attending the 2017 Annual Judicial Education Conference. The Texas Center for the Judiciary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to provide outstanding judicial education to Texas judges so that a qualified and knowledgeable judiciary and staff may administer justice with fairness, efficiency, and integrity.
